- Who we are
Tabulus is an iOS app built and operated by Robert Fusting, a solo developer.

- Information we collect
You provide directly:
Account: username, email, password (email signup) — or Apple ID and optional email (Sign in with Apple)
Profile: optional profile image
Content you post: reviews, ratings, game night entries (games played, participants, outcomes), photos (up to 5 per upload, 8MB each)
Social graph: friend requests you send/accept
Reports you submit on other users’ content
Collected automatically:
Authentication tokens (so you stay signed in)
Server logs (IP address, timestamps, request paths) are used for real-time debugging only and are not retained
We do NOT collect: location, contacts, analytics, crash reports, advertising identifiers, or any third-party tracking.

Operate the app (accounts, posting, feeds, friends)
Authenticate you and keep you signed in
Send password reset emails
Enforce our rules (responding to reports)
Secure the service (abuse prevention, debugging)
- How it’s stored
Backend hosted on Microsoft Azure (Azure Container Apps, West US 2 region)
Images stored in Azure Blob Storage; served via short-lived signed URLs
Passwords are hashed with argon2; we never store them in plaintext
Refresh tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device
- Third parties We share data only with infrastructure providers needed to run the app:
Microsoft Azure — hosting, database, image storage, and transactional email (Azure Communication Services) for password resets
Apple — if you use Sign in with Apple, Apple handles that authentication
BoardGameGeek — game metadata is fetched by our server; BGG does not receive any information about you
We do not sell or share your data for advertising. We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs.
- Your choices and rights
Only friends can view your game nights. Friends can be removed from the Friends tab on your profile page; once removed, neither user can view the other’s game night content.
Edit your profile in the app
Delete game nights via the ellipsis menu on any game night card
Delete reviews via the delete button on the associated board game page
Delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete Account) — this permanently removes your account and all associated content from our systems

- Children
Tabulus is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email robertmfusting@gmail.com and we will remove it.
- Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, reviews, game nights, and uploaded images from our live systems. Deleted data may persist in encrypted database backups for up to 7 days before being automatically purged.
- Security We use HTTPS for all network traffic, hashed passwords, token-based authentication, and platform-provided secure storage (iOS Keychain).
- Changes We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
